Getting to CHS Field

Seasonal Ticket Office Staff

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide customer service to Saints fans who come to the ticket office, or call the ticket office, on game­ days. Ticket sellers are often the first staff member each fan comes into contact with and will be expected to provide a high level of customer service to a large number of fans.

Hours: Shifts vary in length but generally start 2-­3 hours before first pitch and last until the middle of the game. Weekend, evening, and holiday shifts are expected.

Video Production Intern


This full-time summer internship will provide you with a tremendous understanding of all areas of minor-league baseball operations as you assist with the execution of the Saints 27th season. Candidates must be willing to work long hours for the entire summer (between 60-80 hours per week - this is not an exaggeration). Applicants must not have another job and priority is given to graduating seniors. The Video Production Intern will be responsible for managing the archiving of game footage, assisting with day-to-day production, helping with setup and execution of events/shoots/interviews, and pre-production organizing and planning for off-site events.


  • Assist the production team during games and events

  • Edit video content for use in-game and online

  • Collaborate with the video production team on all projects

  • Other duties as assigned


  • College student with a minimum of two years of undergraduate courses completed

  • Experience with cameras, audio, and lighting equipment

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Game Day Internship

The St. Paul Saints Baseball Club is looking for creative and outgoing people who are willing to have fun. This internship provides a first-hand look at the execution of minor-league promotions and customer service initiatives.  The internship will run from May-September.  Game Day Internships are unpaid, though you may receive college credit if applicable.

Part-Time Operations Staff

General Duties

  • Daily cleaning of restrooms in Saints offices and service level corridor. Other areas as needed
  • Daily cleaning of outdoor areas
  • Perform cleaning and waste removal throughout ballpark before, during, and after club events and baseball games
  • Maintain a clean environment on the Club level
  • Set up and tear down Club level before, during, and after premium events
  • Assist Event Manager and Operations Manager/Assistants when accommodating the needs of baseball teams, coaches, and trainers
  • Assist Grounds Crew, Fan Services and Ushers as needed
  • Assist with the closing and clearing of ballpark after games
  • Work as parking lot attendant when needed (may need to handle cash)


Seasonal Groundscrew

The St. Paul Saints have several openings for a seasonal position during the 2019 season at CHS Field.
CHS Field is the home of the St.Paul Saints and Hamline Pipers, located in Lowertown St. Paul,
Minnesota. CHS Field is a state of the art ballpark that opened in 2015, is host to 120+ baseball events
each year, including the MSHSL State Tournament and MIAC tournament. CHS Field will also host the
2019 American Association All-Star Game. 

Hours: Seasonal. Dates are Flexible. May 1 – September 15


  • Previous sports field maintenance or golf course maintenance recommended but not required

  • Be able to lift 50 pounds

  • Able to work long hours, weekends and holidays

  • Able to work in weather extremes common in Minnesota

  • Present yourself in a professional manner, in accordance to Saints handbook, to show
    professionalism during and away from CHS Field

  • Respect all Players, coworkers and patrons using CHS Field


  • Assist with Game Day Preparation of CHS Field: Field Prep, Batting Practice, and Pre-game setup

  •  Assist with some non-game day field maintenance

  • Assist with some non-Saints field usage: Concerts, baseball, festivals and private events

  • Maintain landscape areas, maintain dog park, building maintenance

  • Any other jobs assigned by supervisors

Fan Services Staff

Provide fans with a consistent level of friendly, impressive service that exceeds their 
expectations. We want fans to  feel welcomed as they walk through our gates and safe while they are 
in their seats. Fun is good, but we are nothing without our fans!

This position requires constant attention to detail and following simple to complex instructions. 
It also requires constant use of diplomatic skills. You must be able to recognize and resolve 
conflicts, while performing the essential functions of the job.

Hours: Hours vary according to game and event schedule. Report time is two hours before the start of the game, and will generally end 15-30 minutes following a game. Certain games, like Fireworks Fridays or rain delayed games, may require you to stay later.


  • Welcomes guests to CHS Field with a courteous and energetic attitude

  • Checks tickets and shows fans to their seats
  • Provide event information and general ballpark directions
  • Speak to disruptive guests about their behavior relative to ballpark policy
  • Enforce ballpark policies and safety procedures Ability to manage difficult or emotional situations
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and/or requests for service/assistance
  • Direct fans to facilities such as Fan Services, restrooms, ATMs, and concession stands
  • Move through assigned seating areas and assists with guest issues and questions
  • Help in maintaining a clean ballpark by picking up any garbage or debris found
  • Ability to stand and move about the ballpark for several hours

Part-Time Security Staff

St. Paul Saints Game Day Security Staff (Part Time) are responsible for the safety and security of all guests and employees while providing a safe and enjoyable event for all guests and fellow team members.


  • Enforces security policies and procedures upon entry to CHS Field

  • Monitors entry and exit points to include hand-wand device screening of guests and bags prior to entering the facility
  • Executes orderly security screening processes and may assist in emergency evacuation of the premises
  • Game Day Security Staff may also work the staff / player parking lot enforcing permit parking
  • Additional duties as assigned


  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Sound judgement
  • Must be available to work day, evening and weekend hours
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of (4) hours
  • Candidate will have 2+ years of prior work experience interacting with customers and staff
  • Position will require frequent interaction with patrons and staff, so a calm and courteous voice is a must
  • Friendly and respectful attitude
  • Previous military and/or private security experience a plus
